Receive ONE beautiful male and FOUR female bettas! The Betta Smaragdina is a unique wild Betta variety that can live together (both males and females) under proper conditions. These conditions will include a 20 gallon long tank or larger, live aquarium plants, and protein rich foods! The male will build a bubble nest and spawn with the females in the tank as they come near the nest! It is likely most fry will be eaten in the harem tank, consider separating out your pair to breed to save as many babies as you'd like! Both males and females from this breed present a red base with a vibrant blue iridescent color over top, creating a purple effect! Males will be more vibrant and have longer ventral fins than the females. Great with most tank mates. DO NOT MIX WITH BETTA SPLENDENS!
